Trained in digital imaging at the Rochester Institute of Technology, Jerry "Saw the Light."  He and Cindy became co-principles in a digital imaging bureau and photo lab in the heart of Seattle.  Their clients included Microsoft, Costco, Boeing, Nordstroms, Photo Disc (now Getty), Corbis, Art Wolfe, a complete cross-section of prescient clients embracing the digital transition.  What a way to learn Photoshop (from version 1), Illustrator, Pagemaker, Quark, Freehand, etc., etc.  And there was the Cactus system with a 54" wide Xerox color printer that delivered stunning 4 by 6 foot images from scanned 35mm originals, falling in love with large format display images, all this in 1993.   Architectural and Aerial photography offered new opportunities for learning and provided the financial base that makes possible the capture and production of images of extraordinary beauty and quality.  More than two decades of digital training and experience, bridging and embracing film to digital, direct digital, color control and calibration...what a ride!

Jerry's passion for photography began in his youth.  But just taking pictures wasn't enough.  He discovered, refurbished and equipped the darkroom an uncle had fashioned in the attic of his home and with that the world of artistic and technical control was opened.  Formal study of art & photography began in high school.  Awed by the stunning beauty of Ansel Adams' work, he read, re-read and used Ansel's comprehensive 5-volume Basic Photography series as his guide for choosing equipment and process.  It may be intuitively obvious that truly great photographs don't simply happen, rather, Ansel demonstrated the intimate relationship between the artistic and technical.  This understanding and philosophy has shaped his art.  And, living in the foothills of the Cascade range, with a clear view of the paragliding center of western Washington at his door, Rainier National Park, the Olympic National Park, Pacific Ocean beaches, the wintering grounds of the Snow Geese, Trumpeter Swans and Tundra Swans so close, it is no wonder these venues figure so prominently in his work.

Cindy completed her formal training in Interior Design at the Art Institute of Portland.  She is a gifted artist with remarkable skills developed beyond the classroom in a spectrum of experience that includes architects, builders, home owners and photographers.  She selects images and format with an eye to successful display from the small and intimate to public spaces.  Her gifts of selecting and grouping images work together in achieving  a striking  impact and presence.  This talent  adds a significant dimension to the art we offer.  Give her a call.  Describe your settings and preferences.  She will work with you to meet your needs.

We have a very large collection of unpublished images that will be added to our offerings.  And the quest for beautiful images continues.
